Bridal Mora clock from Ångermanlandsbrud. A rare bridal Mora clock with traditional decorative carvings to resemble a brides dress. This bridal Mora clock is dated 1828. This style of clock was a traditional status symbol given to a married couple on their wedding day in the Angermanland province of Northern Sweden between 1820 and 1840. A similar example can be found in the Nordiska Museum, Stockholm. This style of clock is very rare. Traditional longcase working mechanism with a chime, pendulum and 2 weights. Height 203cm / 79.9"
